The original copy of Timur's autobiography 'Main Hoon Taimur' was with the Emperor of Yemen, Jafar Pasha. From the original copy of I am Timur, some writer made a handwritten copy and brought it to India. The handwritten copy was in the hands of an English officer, and that British officer took it to England. The British officer handed over the handwritten copy to a translator named Davy. Davy translated it into English with the help of Professor White of Oxford University. For the first time in 1783, Timur's autobiography 'Main Hoon Taimur' came before the general public.
