This week I decided to head out to the Yorkshire Dales in search of the little owl, well I didn't have to search that far as I decided to hire a hide where the little owls often came to feed, that being said it's never a given certainty that the wildlife will turn up at your hide, I have been to other hides in the past to photograph animals and nothing has turned up all day, and that's just the way it goes sometimes.

Anyway, today was a success and within 20 minutes of sitting patiently in the hide the little owls started coming over to the perch and feeding which was just amazing and lovely to watch see and photograph, for a couple of hours in the morning before heading off into the woods to photograph the red squirrels, and some grey herons one juvenile with its parent.

I was a little late in coming to photograph the little owls this year, as two of the owls had already fledged with only a third remaining behind with its parents for the meantime, before it to fledges and leaves the nest and its parents.

I spent a good eight hours over here in Yorkshire today enjoying the wildlife I'm just relaxing in this wonderful part of the world known as the Yorkshire Dales truly a fantastic place with great scenery and lots of wildlife to go with it.
