Children with special needs are a marginalized population often overlooked in social, educational, and healthcare settings. The Casa Colina Children’s Services Center (CSC) is dedicated to celebrating the unique qualities and perspectives of these children while increasing their ability to participate in all areas of life. In this educational video, CSC Director Michele Alaniz, BCP, ORT/L talks with CSC pediatric occupational therapist Nicole Fung Burris, MA, ORT/L about ways to improve inclusion for children with special needs such as autism or Down syndrome.
