Using the @CleavelandTool Rivet Gauge. While building the horizontal stabilizer of my @FlyVansAircraft RV14A I noticed that the rivets called out in the plans to connect the spar to the ribs was just a hair too short. My guess is that priming the parts before putting them together added a minor amount of extra material thus requiring a longer rivet. In the hour or so of trying to figure out why the smaller rivets weren't working, I decided to use the rivet gauge that came when I ordered my took kit from @CleavelandTool. And what do you know... It showed me exactly what the issue was, so I figured I would share incase anyone else ran into the same issue.
