Times are real witness of the hospitality that is always showered upon every minister of the government. The same is the case with the protagonist of this short story who is on a two days long tour in London for a meet and greet.

He's on a tight schedule for special visits with many new and old acquaintances in various places as he has to move forward with his trip to also visit Canada and America afterwards. Going through with his daily schedule he finally arrives at his age old dear friend with whom he is supposed to go to a party in the evening.

And like every sociopolitical gathering as soon as the minister reaches the event he's showered with all kinds of praises and regards for the work he has done for the betterment of the society. As the event reaches its full bloom, tables are set with every kind of exquisite dishes and drinks and the minister is called upon to join it.

Meals of every kind were served to him but as soon as the waiter tries to serve him a special Indian dish named as 'Briyani', he refuses to even have a taste of it. Upon asking the reason behind it, he starts telling them an incident related to Lal Bahadur Shastri which motivated him to never have a spoonful of Briyani ever in his life. Then the rest of the story unfolds itself as it goes.
