TO TIP OR NOT TO TIP This question, creates a very controversial and heated discussion amongst the industry and the consumer. Why? Because it's only fair, that someone pays for the workers livelihood, for the hard work they put in, to making sure that the owners look good. So is that going to be the employer, or is this up to the customer who decides on the amount they want to tip, based on the service they received.
The thing is, if we all knew where the concept of tipping originated from, would we be so forgiving of the customary tradition, we have all become accustomed to?

Over the last year we have had the opportunity to take a look at our service industry. Time to compare this sector to many of the tipping cultures throughout the world and realize that it is time that we started to paying the workers in this area, what they are worth. Not for the patrons to determine what they are worth through their tipping practices.
