Toad wrapped up their tours in support of fear at the first Santa Barbara Rape Crisis Center benefit show in July 1993 and then settled in to create the songs that would eventually become Dulcinea. They debuted many of those songs at the second Santa Barbara Rape Crisis Center benefit show on May 28, 1994, "Inside" was one of the songs first played for fans at that show. "Inside" remained in heavy rotation during Toad concerts through 1997 and was played occasionally until it once again became a staple at live Toad shows in 2013.
