Hey Foodies! This Tofu Katsu is more of a comfort food than diet food. It’s a bit like a veggie twist on chicken nuggets, or schnitzel, using tofu instead of meat. This is a vegetarian version of classic Japanese Tonkatsu, usually made with chicken or pork. Served with steaming rice, thinly sliced cabbage and homemade tonkatsu sauce, this dish makes a fantastic comfort food.

34 blocks regular tofu
Salt
Black Pepper
5 slice powder or any spices
2 cups flour
2 eggs or any egg substitute for vegan
Panko Breadcrumbs
Oil for frying

Tonkatsu Sauce:
1 cup ketchup
3 tbsp Soy Sauce
1 tbsp brown sugar
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
