Tokyo Japan You might have heard of the anime town or Electric Town in Tokyo called Akihabara. It's famous in Tokyo for its anime discount stores and other quirky retro stores selling electronics, manga, anime apparel and toys. Akihabara has the best selection of anime figures I've ever seen in Tokyo. I think it's the top thing to do in Tokyo if you're traveling in Japan as an otaku or if you simply love manga or anime, a huge part of modern Japanese culture. When I was a kid, Akihabara was a place to buy taxfree electronics such as cameras and laptops. But today, as an anime fan myself, I consider Akihabara a fun place and shop for all things anime.
