In this episode I talk to Tom Dunning, the mental health runner and co author of the book ‘Surviving the war with myself.’

Tom was bullied relentlessly at school but thankfully had the comfort of being able to return to a warm and loving home with stable parents and two older brothers, one of which, Will, was particularly supportive of Tom.

Tragically, just as Tom was starting Uni, Will died. As a coping mechanism Tom threw himself into his studies, he soon found himself a girlfriend and eventually graduated from Uni, life seemed good until the bottled up emotions he hadn’t allowed himself to work through came back to haunt him.
