The old emotions escape the vault and return to Riley's mind, causing her to become selfdoubt. Joy convinces Anxiety not to change Riley's Sense of Self, allowing her to form a new complex sense of self. Riley starts high school and befriends Val and the Firehawks, maintaining her friendships.
