Toronto Walk: Walking Sheppard Ave East from Sheppard-Yonge to Don Mills Stn (May 11th 2024)

An evening Toronto walk along Sheppard Avenue East in the borough of North York during the Mother’s Day weekend. I made my way east along the entirety of the line 4 Sheppard subway from Yonge & Sheppard to Don Mills subway station at the corner of Don Mills Road and Sheppard Avenue East by Fairview Mall. It was an hour and 15 minute walking video.

As of May 11th, line 1 had no service between SheppardYonge to Davisville stations due to track work for the Eglinton Crosstown and the line 1 shuttle buses were operating along Yonge Street between SheppardYonge and Davisville back and forth. That’s why at the beginning of my video, you guys saw lots of line 1 shuttle buses replacing the line 1 subway. It was only a single day closure.

As I was heading east along Sheppard, it has started to rain. It wasn’t raining too hard just lightly though, and unfortunately I literally forgot to bring my umbrella and the camera lens was wet so I had to keep wiping down the lens of my phone because it was a bit soaky wet. I was glad that my phone battery didn’t die during my walking video. I was brave enough to walk in the rain on a Saturday evening at twlight. I felt a bit bad having to keep wiping down the lens especially towards the end of my video while it was a bit rainy but it is what it is. I ended my video right by the north entrance to Don Mills station just north of Sheppard East I have an instagram account @SepandTTCExplorer as well for more updates!
