Toyota CHR was designed based on CHR concept, which debuted at the 2014 Frankfurt Motor Show. CHR was designed in Europe, with European market in mind, but when executives from other markets saw it, they wanted CHR as well. The Japanese designed a car, which looks bold from every angle, but remains practical. Toyota CHR doesn’t look big, but it’s bigger than Nissan Juke, and almost as long, as Nissan Qashqai. Toyota CHR is bigger than Citroen C4 Cactus, and about the same size as DS4 or KIA Niro. Or Mitsubishi ASX, which also has a bigger boot. CHR boot has 377 litres capacity, just a bit smaller, than in Volkswagen Golf. Toyota CHR is powered either by a 1.8 hybrid drivetrain from Toyota Prius or a 1.2 litre 4 cylinder turbo petrol engine.
