Here is a quick video explaining the trim tab tool, how to set it up and read it correctly, for an EC135 (Airbus) H135 helicopter. A review of the vertical vibration limits and track spread limits. I have found that many mechanics do not properly adjust the trim tabs at the end of the track and balance maintenance activity due to being unfamiliar with the tab bending tool. Proper track for high speed flight reduces the vertical vibration. This is an important step that will improve the ride quality and lower the amount of undue wear on dynamic components. Lowering the vibrations in flight will ultimately save the customer money with less wear on components.
