Finally A Train Works Up The Hill! Extra Heavy Train With 2 Locomotives In The Middle & A Manned Locomotive Shoving The Train! This train went under me and listen to the DPU Locomotives! I could feel the heat! After shoving the train up the curvy hill the Union Pacific locomotive returns back down the hill for another train. I waited a long time for this train and it was awesome!
First we see 2 trains go down the hill at the Beechwood Road railroad crossing. All 4 trains are in Crescent Springs, Kentucky on the Norfolk Southern Rat Hole Line. I noticed that when trains go down the hill I usually smell the brake shoes burning a little bit.
The best part of the video is the train that goes under me at 9:15 in the video. It had foreign power leading which was Union Pacific. It had two loud DPU locomotives that were earning their keep and it had a manned power unit on the rear. That engine went a few miles past me to Elsmere, Kentucky where it cut off the train and returned down the hill. The pedestrian bridge is a great spot to Railfan. Just be aware of the people around you. After I walked off the bridge I noticed a couple of loud guys drinking bear and making noise. One guy hit a stop sign with his fist and the other guy threw a beer can next to the sidewalk. There was also a police car that pulled someone over right there. I heard a loud siren and saw the police car pull someone over. I have been here twice when there were small car wrecks at the intersection. This is the location that has a massive amount of beer cans laying all over the place around the pedestrian bridge. Today I fell and cut my hand on a piece of glass. At first I thought I had two cuts on the under side of my hand because of all the blood but it was only one cut. Luckily I had plenty of napkins in the truck. I couldn't show it or the video would get demonetized. I already had that happen in Florida. Stuff happens.
