Hello and welcome to this 'Trains at' video showcasing the ECML diverts through Hertford North, located on the Hertford Loop Line. It is situated between Bayford and WattonatStone.

The reason for my trip to Hertford was to capture the East Coast Mainline diverts along the Hertford Loop Line and because most of the long distance and suburban traction on the ECML will be replaced in the coming years, it was even more important to capture the diverts.

The station at Hertford itself is very nice and relatively quiet on a Sunday. The views are great to both the north and south, the frequency was great as well even on a Sunday with many Great Northern, Thameslink and long distance services passing through. The range of traction was fantastic with many EMU's, 91's and HST's but also some Class 365's which are only really used on weekends or in the peak times nowadays.

Also included is a short clip of a DB Class 66 working empty aggregate wagons to Langley Redlands from Peterborough at Stevenage.

Overall a great time spent at Hertford North. My next video will be from Gordon Hill also capturing the diverts.
