Just before the sun goes down as we prepare for one of the more dramatic journeys back home to Scarborough, Hull for an hour see's plenty going on from Northern, Transpennine Express and Hull Trains. Prior to the Transpennine route upgrade, Transpennine Express has decided to run 2 shuttle services linking: Scarborough to York and also Hull to Leeds vice Manchester Piccadilly.

Hull Trains decided to cancel their service which was due to run to London Kings Cross had been capped at Peterborough. This was due to operators request. This is a strange operational move by Hull Trains as they don't normally call at Peterborough. Which presume the train would work empty to Bounds Green depot via London Kings Cross. Passengers would've had to change for either LNER or Thameslink services through to London.
