Oman trip part 05

Our trip to Oman continues with Day 5 of this adventure. Again, we started the morning with vast views. This time we also had a company of goats.
We shared some of our food with them and quickly fixed the car for the road.

We visited what is considered one of the most beautiful and preserved villages in Oman Misfat alAbreen. We walked through terraced palm gardens and went to lunch at a Yemeni restaurant. Oman borders Yemen and there are quite a few such restaurants here. It was tasty. We also had time to visit a folklore museum, where we learned more about the life of the old Omanis.

We spent the evening in the old capital of the country Nizva. It was also our last night with the car. In the morning, it was Friday, we went to the market. The goat market in Nizwa is an attraction for us, and for the locals it is a tradition that hides a centuriesold history. It was a busy place full of many people. We met very happy little boys who were cuddling a goat each.
We couldn't miss the biggest attraction in the city. Nizwa Fort is among the most recognizable places in Oman. If you decide to visit it, go early. It gets pretty hot later.
It was time to return the big car and replace it with a small, city car.
