In this video we (me and you) are travelling from ancient Gilgal to Qaser Al Yahud/Yehud which means the 'Tower of the Jews' . It is the place where the Israelites crossed over the Jordan River as they reached the promised land led by Joshua. ( Joshua 3)
Qaser Al Yahud is also the site where Prophet Elijah ascended to heaven and Prophet Elisha received a double portion of his anointing (2Kings 2:114)
In the New Testament, Mark 1, Matthew 3 talks of John the Baptist preaching in the wilderness and baptizing people in Jordan beyond Jericho.
Qaser Al Yahud fits the Bible description.
Gilgal was the first camp ground for Israelites after crossing Jordan River
(Joshua 4,5) where Joshua circumcised the Israelites.
Gilgal is mentioned 39 times in the book of Joshua.
