Triangular Fibrocartilage Complex Injury Exercises or TFCC Injury Exercises

Quay Health Sydney

In this video Quay Health Physiotherapist Ryan Dorahy demonstrates some basic rehabilitation exercises to perform for a TFCC or Triangular Fibrocartilage Complex Injury.

Initially a TFCC injury will require splinting and basic range of motion exercises before progressing onto this strengthening stage.

These exercises require the use of a hand held weight, such as a dumbbell and a resistance band. It is advised that you start loading the wrist with minimal weight (less than 1kg) and progressively increasing the weight as the sets become easier to complete. The same principle applies with increasing the colour or strength of your resistance band.

The exercises should be completed in 3 sets of 15 repetitions with 60 seconds rest between each set.
