Some reviews I've seen of the TRONXY X3 / X3a printer kit were not very positive. One in particular can only be described as childish... and (in certain aspects at least) downright misleading. It was clear from what was stated in the video, that the reviewer hadn't even properly read the build instructions..

Having recently purchased a TRONXY X3 / X3a printer kit, (available from Gearbest or AliAxpress), it seemed appropriate to document it's successful construction, setup and basic operation.

The kit, and an optional inductive sensor, were purchased from gearbest, at a cost of just over 200 GBP. Shipping was freeofcharge and there was no import duty to pay. NOTE: There are regular 'flash sales' (at Gearbest) when then price has been reduced to as low as £163 for the basic kit

Printer wiring and setup will be in an additional video... to keep video length reasonable.

All things considered, this kit represents good value for money. It offers plenty of opportunity for hacking or modification and.. until such time as I have my own work uploaded, can be viewed performing well.. with some large prints at the links below.
