I'm a big proponent of using a true nondestructive workflow in Photoshop. The big advantage is the ability to work on an image iteratively over time. The benefit is better images in less editing time. In this example I noticed a satellite trail in a finished image. With a nondestructive workflow I could return to the original luminosity image and fix the trail in less than two minutes while all other editing remained intact.
