Learning to read music is a huge step in gaining independence on your instrument. If you can't read, you have to have someone spoon feed every idea to you very slowly. Imagine how much less you'd know if everything you've read in English in your life had to be read to you instead of you reading it yourself. It can be frustrating at first, but please take the time to practice learning to read so you can find new ways to continue developing as a musician.
