Trying Cockpit on Debian 12 as Type 1 Hypervisor

This is a somewhat edited version of my attempt to install cockpit on Debian 12 as a type 1 hypervisor. I decided to attempt this after several issues trying to get Proxmox running, which ended up in multiple fatal crashes (I am probably doing something wrong).

Anyway I got Cockpit running as a Type 1 Hypervisor, but there are still some outstanding issues.

I have to say it has been a real education, and in spite of the frustrations, an overall enjoyable experience.

Some sections were easier than others. Time stamps below will allow you to skip the one you already know.
