Trying to Repair a Fake HO Amtrak GG1 Locomotive
In 1977 Tyco released their own version of the famous GG1 locomotive. It was a watered down version of a model designed by Penn Line in the 60s and featured the PowerTorque drive.
This model wouldn't run correctly under full voltage so today I decided to open up the drive and see if it could be repaired. The whole thing was packed with dust and dried grease.
