We made it to Uganda, the Pearl of Africa! After our flight landed late at the Entebbe International Airport, we drove to Kampala for a short night of slip before starting our actual adventure!

Upon walking up in Kampala, we started our day by eating a rolex which is the most famous street food in Uganda. Our was not in the streets of Uganda but we will make sure to eat one in the nest few days.

Then, our 400km adventure started from Kampala all the way to the South of Uganda in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. It was originally supposed to take about 10 hours but we didn't want to simply have a boring road trip, instead we wanted to stop as many time as possible to experience the country!

Just outside of Kampala, we stopped for the first time to visit the Ugandan drum makers. Such talented people capable of making and playing these magnificent music instrument. From there, we did a quick stop for a tea at the equator. This is normally where most tourists are stopping for lunch but that was not for us! We are here for the full experience!

And this is where the street food journey started! As soon as I saw the BBQ stands along Lukaya Road Toll Market, I just had to stop. Grilled street meat is my favorite. From chicken to goat and matoke, we tried it all and this was nothing compared to our second stop. We ate grasshoppers! To be honest, if you can get over the fact that you are eating bugs, the taste was very nice.
Finally, we stopped two more time to enjoy some fresh Ugandan grown fruits.

After a very long journey, we made it to our new home for the next few night at the Bwindi Gorilla Forest Camp by Sanctuary Retreats. What a stunning property that we will be showing you in the next video.

All of our Ugandan travel adventure was planned by our friends at Ongeri Expeditions. There is no other travel agent that we trust more to plan our East African Trips and we highly suggest that you do the same! https://www.ongeriexpeditions.com/
