Historical Info:
In the second half of the 50s, proactive work was carried out in Czechoslovakia to create both projects for the modernization of T54 tanks, produced under license, and plans for the development of their own vehicle. The main emphasis was on increasing security. One of the projects involved the use of spaced screen protection from blocks with filler against cumulative weapons. All these ideas were implemented in the TST tank project, however, for a number of financial and political reasons, the project did not receive development.
