It’s a gorgeous afternoon in June 2024 and our intrepid freight driver is despatched to deliver 22 MWA wagons to Peterborough where another intrepid driver will take it forward the next forty miles or so to Brandon near Ely. 66615 is in charge of 6Z12 and does a fine job. We have two world exclusives! A trip through the brand new loop at Bamford and another through the new Dore Curve loop. We get an important message from the signaller who routes us through the lower level Trent Junction which leaves Driver Vinny having to spare no horses on the fast line to Sileby just bin case we are followed by an EMR fast express. Vinny gets this thing eating out of his hand (not his first rodeo) as it storms past the delightful famous signal box at Oakham. Finally, we finish with an update on the Landslip near Duffield which required a realignment of the track.
