The building is named after its architect, Alessandro Antonelli, who designed the tower to be the tallest building in Turin at the time of its construction. It is now one of the most recognizable landmarks in the city, thanks in part to its distinctive dome and spire.

Visitors to the Mole Antonelliana can take an elevator to the top of the tower, where they can enjoy stunning panoramic views of Turin and the surrounding countryside.
