This video shows you want you need to have to use your non USB radio as a controller for the drone simulator Liftoff. You will need a 3.5mm stereo jack lead and download the SmartPropoPlus program see link below.

It is not as smooth as my Jumper T16 and Taranis XLite but if it is the only radio you have it will allow you to practice flying in a simulator.
