I take my little Sony a7s and build it out into a full cinema camera similar to what a RED cinema camera has in features. Of course the dynamic range, image quality and RAW capabilities don't even compare on the a7s vs RED, but there are a lot of power, ergonomic and focus features you can add to a DSLR or mirrorless camera to make it more usable for films. Hopefully this full camera rig buildout gives you some ideas about how you can make your own camera rig even better. This doesn't only apply to the a7s, you can use you own camera and cage and add a lot of these features and tools to your setup.
