The following are the steps for using a GPS RTK (RealTime Kinematic) measurement tool using a HiTarget V30 brand GPS Receiver. GPS RTK can be an alternative terrestrial measurement tool. Compared to Theodolite and Total Station, GPS RTK can directly obtain the position coordinates of an object as long as the Rover and Base are connected to the same satellite.

The output from GPS RTK provides direct coordinate values, making this tool more practical for terrestrial and extraterrestrial measurements. Raw data from GPS RTK are coordinates that can be adjusted to a projection system and/or coordinate system so that they can be posted in other data processing software such as AutoCAD to then become a simple situation map.
