This quiet, forestenclosed campground is located next to the Yoho River and is just a 1.5 km hike away from magnificent Twin Falls. This campground is a logical stopover point for someone wishing to hike the Whaleback Loop or to see more of the Yoho Valley.

The trailhead is at the Takkakaw Falls parking lot at the end of the Yoho Valley Road near Field BC. The hike in is about 6 km long and about 150 meters in elevation so makes an excellent base camp to explore the Twin Falls Chalet, Marpole Lake or the Yoho Glacier. The trail is wide and crosses over the Yoho River by bridge in a couple areas. You can stop for a break and enjoy the Laughing Falls after the first 4km.
