Richard Simmons (July 12, 1948 – July 13, 2024 (age 76))
American actor, dancer and fitness instructor Richard Simmons has passed away at the age of 77. He died on the second day after celebrating his birthday.
"I've never received so many birthday messages in my life!" He wrote on Friday on his social network. He gained fame as a fitness instructor who promoted weight loss programs. He was also a radio host, acted in films and acted as a producer. He became most famous for his work with Rosalie Bradford, who was included in the Guinness Book of Records twice in her life: first she was recognized as the fattest woman in the world, and then as the most thin woman in the world.
In March, Simmons told his followers that he had been diagnosed with skin cancer and described the procedure he underwent to try to remove the cancer cells.
"I have news for you. Please don't be sad. I... am dying," he wrote then. He continued: "The truth is that we all die. Every day we live, we get closer to our death. Why am I telling you this? Because I want you to enjoy your life to the fullest every single day. Get up in the morning and look to heaven... Richard died yesterday on July 13th. We remember and Love.

Actress Shelley Duvall died in her sleep from complications caused by diabetes. This happened on July 11, Duvall was 75 years old. The actress is best known for her role as Wendy Torrance in Stanley Kubrick's film The Shining. Among her popular films there are also “Nashville”, “Three Women”, “Annie Hall”, “Time Bandits” and others.
