Two of the most AMAZING garden railroads, within a very short distance of each other, on a hill overlooking Zion Canyon! The "G gauge" model railroads of Tim Fitch and Dick Saunders.

Dick and Laurie Saunders have built a railroad into terraces along the back of their beautifully landscaped backyard. The railroad has large loops built of wood trestles at either end connecting a long terrace with villages and camps from the old west. The villages contain two great sawmills, mines, western main streets, railroad worker camps, and locomotive facilities. And magnificent Bonsi trees!

Just down the street is the HUGE outdoor railroad of Tim and Dana Fitch. The railroad features rivers and streams, waterfalls, five water pumps feeding the water features, and tons of concrete mountains and canyons. And hundreds of feet of #1 gauge (G Gauge) track.

The railroad The railroad represents years of work so far and is still under construction. As of now, the railroad has an east and west section which will be connected in the future by a track that climbs a bute, crosses over a suspension bridge to a second mountain, and spirals down to meet the east section. (There will be a golden spike ceremony and yes we will be there!)
