Two of Pentacles - Imagery Symbolism and Meaning

Dina Berrin

Two of Pentacles is about finding balance between two or more things in your life usually (at least one of them) involving security and/or finances. It's also about change, and embracing the changes happening in your life.

Number two is about intuitive awareness, adaptability, diplomacy, partnerships, and cooperation. Two's in a reading can indicate a period of gestation or waiting for future success.

The card shows the image of a figure juggling two pentacles which represent the ups and downs of life. There are valuable life lessons to be learned from these experiences. It's up to you what to do with that learning, knowledge, and wisdom.

In the Two of Pentacles, you learn how to be flexible, adaptable, and resourceful. You are multitasking, managing priorities, and juggling the demands of family, work, relationships, and money.

This theme of balance is seen in the shifting feet of the figure, in the juggling of the pentacles within the lemniscate, and in the ships as they navigate the waves in the water behind him.

Journal prompts shared in the video:
1 What are you learning from this moment?
2 How do you juggle your responsibilities?
3 Where are you gettting in the way of allowing the universe to do it's thing?
4 How might you benefit from taking a step back and balancing what's important to you?

The Two of Pentacles says that balancing pleasure and responsibility are the keys to a successful life.

Yeah, sometimes it feels like a juggling act, but the more you practice, the better you become.

Knowing the meaning of the various symbols and images in the cards gives you a deeper and more insightful understanding of what's happening in the card.
