Half barrier level crossing located within Wormley, just south of Broxbourne in Hertfordshire, also known as 'Wharf Road Level Crossing', to give its official name. Seeing on average approximately 378 trains per a typical day (according to Network Rail figures), it is the busiest half barrier level crossing in the UK, and trains pass here thick and fast. Unsurprisingly, given how busy with trains this level crossing is, this level crossing appears to be frequently monitored by a Network Rail team from a nearby layby. There are two E2S alarms at this level crossing, which replaced older E2S alarms recent to the time of filming (one of which wasn't sounding), and these play a voice message saying "Warning, more than one train may be approaching" throughout the level crossing sequence, although this voice message cancels and stops sounding, with the alarms continuing without playing the voice message, if another train were to approach, a frequent occurrence here. However, the alarm tone very oddly does not speed up in this instance like it normally does or should. This level crossing also has a total of two pedestrian lights, one located on each exit side wigwag pole, as well as an extra set of lights for a side road, usually closed off by a long metal gate, which can be heard being closed at the start of the video.

The way in which the alarms act in the level crossing's another train coming sequence is demonstrated in this video, with the voice message ceasing to sound after the first train passes, although the alarms did not speed up like they usually would or should at a half barrier level crossing, which could come across as rather confusing and maybe slightly dangerous as a result.

The creaking heard at the start was a long metal gate being closed near the level crossing. Part of the audio has also been muted due to loud talking.

Thanks for watching!
