TwoSided Machining 2 Part 31 Aspire and VCarve For Absolute Beginners
More down here ↓↓↓ Click SHOW MORE!

This is the 31st in a series of videos geared toward the person who has never worked with CAD or CAM in the Vectric Software before.

In this video, we’ll continue our examination of TwoSided Machining in the Vectric software.

This is such an involved subject, even though the project is a simple one, I’m splitting it into two parts. This video will focus on the actual machining of the project, from start to finish. In the previous video, we designed the project, calculated toolpaths, and saved gcode.

I’ve been wanting to make this video for a long time, and the right project finally came along. In this video, I’ll show you how to set up and cut the 2Sided job we designed in the Vectric software last week. We’ll mount an auxiliary spoil board, mount the material, cut the locating dowel holes, then carve the top of the project. We’ll take the material off the spoilboard and drill the locating dowel holes in the spoilboard. We’ll then flip the material and mount it, using our locating dowels. We’ll then carve the bottom side of the project.

As usual, if you have any comments or questions about anything I covered in this video, please put ‘em in the comment section below.

On Sunday, September 29th, I’ll be hosting a LIVE Q&A session, where you can ask your questions pertaining to anything I covered in this video. That Q&A starts at 3 pm Eastern time, Noon Pacific time. Hope to see you there!
