Ube Cheese Pandesal
Pan de sal is liked by many Filipinos, it's like a national bread of the Philippines. This bread has very simple ingredients, it is made of flour, egg, yeast, sugar and salt. The dough is formed like a baston and then cut into small pieces; and rolled onto the fine bread crumbs. This is commonly served in breakfast and a midday snacks with scrambled eggs, cheese or peanut butter. You can also partner it with hot coffee, hot chocolate or even soft drinks. But in this video I will show you how to make Ube Cheese Pan de sal and we will cook it without an oven. Yes I will show you how to cook the pandesal using a pan or kawali.
2 cups + 3 tbsp all purpose flour
3 tbsp white sugar
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp instant dry yeast
1/2 cup evaporated milk
3 tbsp cooking oil
1 egg
1 tsp ube flavor
1 tsp purple/violet food color
ube halaya(1/2 tbsp each bread)
8 pcs.cubed cheese
1 cup fine bread crumbs
