First 3 nights in Bali, we enjoyed our stay at this very lush, lovely, serene resort. Kind of on the south end(?) of Ubud, it would've been much nicer if it were located about 3km further north towards the shopping area. That said, regardless of its location, this resort is sublime in its own little world.
While we enjoyed our stay, once you leave the resort, then you have to deal with Ubud's (really most of Bali's) overcrowded and very poor infrastructure (ie. 12" wide sidewalks in very poor repair, frequented as much by mopeds as walkers!). This was a HUGE negative on the island and unfortunately as such, we would hesitate to come back. Still glad we visited....
