Ulcerative Colitis is a chronic inflammatory bowel disease that involves inflammation in the large intestine (colon). Due to it being a chronic inflammatory state, Ulcerative Colitis can lead to not only many gastrointestinal signs and symptoms, but also to many extraintestinal manifestations (including skin conditions and manifestations). In this lesson, we discuss all of these gastrointestinal features, along with complications and extraintestinal manifestations.
