There’s no cheaper way to make a forest full of trees than finding the perfect armature on the side of the road… However most of the time you find great looking twigs they are either the wrong shape or don’t have enough smaller branches to make a good small scale tree!
That’s where this tutorial comes to help, the technique I use here to make these great looking HO scale trees can also be used on any type of tree making exercise whether you are using twigs from the garden, super trees you purchased or even using the plastic tree armatures made by many manufacturers like Woodland Scenics.
If you're after the tool that I use to hold the tree (third hand soldering station) you can purchase them from 'MicroMark', they sell a range of tools for hobbyists and this is a very useful tool to have at your disposal.

The main tip you’ll probably find from this video is the usefulness of Baking powder and Super Glue… There are literally a hundred different modelling applications we could use with these two products used together.
