1/6 Rochobby Willys MB Scaler Jeep unboxing, quick review, epic run.

Out of the box into the fire.
Double D just got a brand new Willys, and we get to look at it fresh from the box. It comes well packaged in its own foam locking case. Inside the cool case, there is an instruction manual, transmitter, baggie with wiper arms, prop rod, and the incredibly detailed 1/6 scale vehicle.

Add four AA batteries to the transmitter and a two to three cell lipo battery in the Willys.

The Willys is very true to scale. Details are everywhere from the straps on the spare fuel can, to the diagrams on the dashboard all the way to the hooded spotlight. The seats are foam filled fabrics. The wheels are just like the real thing! Mirrors, windscreen, lenses with light buckets this this is amazing. Inside the brushed motor sits proudly in front of an all metal gear transmission, which goes to the all metal gear transfer case. The waterresistant receiver sits high so deeper streams can be crossed. There is also a servo for the steering wheel.

For all the good there is also bad.
There is only one complaint that I have. The fullscale vehicle had leafspring suspension. The RC has a linkage system. However, the 1/12 scale Willys has leafsprings. The RC drives really well because of the suspension.
