In this challenge we'll form 3 different sink clogs using coffee grounds, hair, and grease (we use butter, which is essentially grease). Then we'll give baking soda and vinegar a fair chance to unclog what is a typical sink drain clog. Hopefully this helps folks out there understand if baking soda and vinegar works to unclog sinks, and to see how it actually works as well. It should become clear that the effective nature of combining baking soda and vinegar is the gas that is formed. This gas creates pressure, and in many instances will force the clog down the drain. However, as best as we can tell, baking soda and vinegar do not dissolve clogs, hair, or grease.
