NB IF YOU WANT TO JUMP TO THE COLOUR VISION TEST, YOU'LL FIND IT AT 11:03 MINS IN

One of the lesser approaches by medical students anyway parts of the neurological examination is looking at colour vision

There is a requirement for red saturation to be tested in the cranial nerves, as this can indicate optic neuritis, the further investigation into colour vision is often omitted

This is a shame as 1:12 men, and 1 in 200 women have a colour vision deficiency.

Whilst the commonest is red (Protan) and green (deuteran) deficiencies, there are other rarer forms, but they are beyond the scope of the simple office Ishihara test.

The Ishihara colour blind test allows for determining if someone has red/green colourblindness and also help diagnoses the type

Ensure you what to the end of the video, both for the initial test, and also how to determine the type if any of colour vision deficiencies you might have

Some people may experience an ASMR effect from this video
