In this episode of Understanding the Occult we cover Discordianism, Chaos Magick and the Illuminates of Thanateros or IOT. Chaos Magick was invented in the 60’s and 70’s by two friends from the United Kingdom. Discordianism began some time in the early 1960’s as a parody religion. In the modern day both of these movements have continued and grown. In fact Discordianism which was created as I said just to poke fun at religion is now in fact an actual faith. It is in fact possible to find people who worship Eris these days.
