You can pretty much use your imagination with this one. Rarely if ever a DDA40X ran over Tehachapi before the UP and SP combined into a mega railroad. The fact of the matter is, the La Mesa Model Railroad Club has a wide variety of members. Many of those members no only model the SP or Santa Fe but they also contribute to the variety of trains from various eras. On any given day during public operating days members will operate CSX, Canadian National, Illinois Central, Western Pacific, Burlington Northern to name a few. On this day I brought my UP VAN train consisting of various types or classes of power but also modified Trixx stock cars to replicate CSLAZ that ran between Chicago and Los Angeles. Featured are Athearn RTR SD402s I heavily modified and detailed including an Atlas U30C.
