UNIQUE 1930'S FOOTAGE AMY JOHNSON.

GULL PERCH FLYER

Amy Johnson became the most famous flyer of the 20th century when she became the first lady to fly from England to Australia in May 1930.
I have compiled some very rare footage of Amy flying her De Havilland Gipsy Moth which she purchased for £600 to embark on the flight to Australia.
I have also included very interesting audio of Amy describing her flight to Australia.
There is also rare footage of Amy Gliding at Long Mynd Shropshire in 1936.
Finally in conclusion footage of the film Amy starred in with her husband Jim Mollison when they land in a field having run out of fuel, the locals crowd around and enjoy a quick flight around the patch in Amy's Gipsy Moth 'Jason III'
