With Epic Universe on the way, things are becoming really exciting for Universal in Orlando and recently, the resort announced Dark Universe for the park, a land based on classic Universal monster films. While horror themed attractions are often rare or are saved for haunt events, Dark Universe is weird because, well, it's an entire themed land with an anchor dark ride, Monsters Unchained, which Universal is not shy about advertising as their scariest attraction. This video exists to briefly explore the history behind these classic characters and how they've resonated culturally, but also to speculate on how this land might play to generally audiences, because it may actually be too niche to be popular.
