Also known as “The Race to the Clouds”, drivers are often faced with severe weather conditions ranging from thunderstorms to blinding snow while navigating 156 turns over a 12.42mile course finishing 14,115 feet above sea level.

And welcome to the Porsche Hoonipigasus. Designed as a homage to the legendary 1971 Porsche 917/20 “Pink Pig”, Hoonipigasus was created with one goal – to be the fastest overall at the most iconic and legendary hill climb in the world. It is the car that legendary Ken Block designed in collaboration with Hoonigan and BBI Autosport.

Sadly though as we all know, Ken died earlier this year in a snowmobile accident. But this weekend Kens’ daughter Lia will be driving the Hoonipigasus at Pikes Peak to honour her father's memory. I have goosebumps just saying this. I cannot imagine what this will feel like for her.

Fun Facts
As a publicity stunt, a World War I tank attempted to climb Pikes Peak in 1919. Despite its best attempts, the threeman crew were “defeated” by the tenfoot snow drifts 12 miles up the highway.
And more bizarrely a man from Texas spent 21 days on the Pikes Peak Highway pushing a peanut to the summit with his nose. Amazing
And to top that all off there have been 4 reported sightings of BigFoot. This mountain seems to have it all.
